Doing Just a Little Better and Such

So Nov. 10th to 14th here in now Winter peg was the BCAPL Canadian Open Series. I was lucky enough to be able to book the 10th off work so I could play in the 9-ball singles event, I would have played in the 8-ball singles event as well but I think I would of had to quit my job meh at least I was able to play in some of it. My first match I won 4-0 didn't play at the top of my game but pulled off a win. Game 2 was right after and finished 4-2 in my favor my game also started to get into a nice pace. So after game 2 I waited... and waited... and waited. For game 3 not bad play but the waiting around and not shooting showed in a disappointing 0-4, in game 2 it looking like I was going to get a 2-9 combo but the cue joined them and that about sealed the match. This put me on the B-Side meh what ever just stay focused and plow on hell win the next match and I would have been a game or 2 to the money (well some money). Game 4 after losing the coin toss my opponent ran it to the nine and then rattled it in the pocket. So Got up shot it in, racked and broke dry (this seems to be my big problem as of late dry breaking) so a little back and forth and Another win 2-0. game 3 a few safeties he runs down to the nine and rattles it and now its 3-0, and then it when down hill from there he hit his stride and capped it off with a 9 ball break on the hill to win 3-4. All in all it wasn't a bad run could have done better If my break was working for me but meh what are you going to do but keep practicing and try next time. Well I'm off to work grrr argh and it now officially is winter as noted by the foot of snow that fell.

Hooray for regularly posting, I kid I kid.In all seriousness though here's some thoughts from yesterday. Yesterday being Remembrance Day it wasn't that long ago people that the only place open to drink and get booze would be the legion. If it was one or 2 teenyboppers coming in and expressing shock at all other vendors being closed OK I might have given them that one but seriously anyone over what 25 ish should not be so shocked. Next Cash is King sure most places have Debt machines now but shit happens machines break, and I'm not a debt machine repair person. Finally for now Really Harper Really bring the toops home. This mentoring or training crap is just that CRAP. Saying that "they will be out of the field and on a base..." Really cause fighting in Afghanistan has been contained to a specific area that the canadians can just avoid really really now?

In other news I was thinking about getting an ipod classic, 160 Gigs of music oh yah but then when on the apple web site and saw the new generation of ipod touches, which now have a mic and video camera so now the dilemma should i go with the classic or the 32 or 64 gig touch hmmm. Well thats all for now time to get ready for work and hit up Q's.. I mean The broken spoke.... for a bit

So watching darts on TV, and the guy who wins after the win "tosses" his darts out to the crowd!?! the first one is a light underhand toss to someone sitting up front but the second one he whips out into the crowd!?! WTF!!!

So pool is starting up for a new season, heres hoping for the best. For all you readers out there I'll try to have some more regular postings for you time wasting... I mean reading pleasure.

New Cue

So I got a new cue thus bringing my total arsenal up to 5. Soon I'll try to post pictures of my "babies". Cue repair

So about a week ago i ordered a tip repairing kit form the awsome Seyberts Billiards, ( www.seyberts.com ) and so yesterday I picked it up from the post office. Today I sat down and and re- tipped one of Miss K's pool team mats cue as well as reglued the ferrel and sanded down the shaft. The shaft had some weird sticky laquer and a few dings so i sanded it down put some "Q-wax" on it and boy is it smooth. I'm now about to retip my poison cue with a new tip by tiger, the tiger "emerald" tip.... but first some dishes.

Mr. Moo Cow

Meow meow mew meeew meow. That was Moo Cow introducing him self to all you readers of the "after 2 am" blog. Apparently he feels the need to blog to but the lack of thumbs is cramping his style, thus forcing me to write for him. Holy Blizzard Batman (sort of)...

Well more like Holy wind batman!and on that note I start today's post. So in times like these what do we do but cook. That's right went out in to the cold wasteland of Winnipeg gathered supplies and now we are about to embark on a cooking odyssey. We are going to try and pre-cook and freeze some meals for later on to cut back on the junk food and eating out. The line up of meals is as follows; Veggie Sheppard's pie, and Kalee is going to make a noodle dish. I will post the recipe for both later tonight, I might even take pictures for a play by play guide how to sort of thing. Well I'm off to the kitchen.

So as you can see by the state of the blog i have yet to sell out... I'm getting arount to it this is the start of my week end so i should have some time to figure it all out. In other news, heading out to shooters billiards tonight to see the Johnny Archer expo, should be a hoot. Apparently some Q's (as in Miss Q's) regulars may be going. Since it is now 3 am ish i'm heading to bed.

Johnny Archer is Coming to Winnipeg

So as you can see from the title of this post... well Johnny Archer is coming to Winnipeg. I at present am still sitting of the fence as to whether to see if i can get in to the skills shop being offered or just go down later and watch. Anyways I'll try to get some pic's of the event in any case.
